Crit: What is that, and Do I Meet Crit?
Moving forward, this weekly topic portion of the website will be updated weekly, and I will ensure that on Sundays, I update with the thoughtfully chosen topic, and I will respond to queries Sunday through Tuesday, while appointment times for advice, meetings, etc. would be Wednesday through Saturday.
CRIT: 4 Types of Crit, and the ways in which we can meet these benchmarks of personhood, which are designed around what makes sense, and what is moral, without bringing organized religion into the matter.
- HuCrit:: Humanism. Do you care about humans, he, she, they, it, whatever someone wants to call themself, or who the person is inside, being the best in which we can be is to care about the humans around us. There should be a minimum standard of living in which humans are allowed, unless by personal choice, to live in. Housing, utilities, phone and wifi, food, clothing, toiletries, hygiene items, art supplies, and basic furniture, the opportunity for education and medical care. This is achievable with the wealth in which we have in this country, and without doing those things for each human we purport to have as a citizen, we are failing as a country. The wealthiest person in our country could give each citizen with a birth certificate and social security card, or green card as a permanent resident, $1,000,000.00 and still would not lose enough money to impact his own wealth levels. He is a trillionaire and there are people living outside without food, shelter, adequate clothing, medical care, etc. This is unacceptable and as a society we need to ensure that HuCrit is met. I care about you, whether I can put myself out for you or not, dependent on my own wealth level and access to resources, but I will try, no matter what, and when I have the basic levels of everything I need, I make sure I give back so that humanism becomes my way of life, my joire de vivre, my pay it forward, my own personal zeitgeist.
- The second part of HuCrit is about rights. Consent to consciously connect with other humans, consent to be touched, consent to be involved, without harm. This is essential to humanism because choices are part of life and for us all to have autonomy over our own minds and bodies, we must respect each other. This is essential to connection with other human beings and with the living organism Earth upon which we reside, and which we are lucky enough to possess and be possessed thereof. If we do not care for each other, and also for the Earth, as stewards of logic, common sense, and basic living conditions and environmental protection then we are not practicing humanism and the entropic flow which dictates the success of the species will be interrupted. I talk more about this in another weekly topic, “Entropy:: The Order of Chaos and the Failure of Civilizations of the Past, and How We Can Succeed Now”.
- IUCrit:: Indivisible US. Do you have a loyalty, first to the personal and romantic relationships in your life, second to the extraneous relationships in your life, third to the local community in which you live, and fourth to the country in which we are trying to proliferate and perpetuate a lifestyle? This is important because it means there is a set of principles, or values, upon which you base the foundation of your beliefs, and actions. Many people do not match their actions, words, business behavior, art behavior, parenting, life behavior in general, to their principles, or purported set of values. What is the point of going to church with a group of people every week who say they believe in the same things, and then arriving home to drink every night, have sex outside of marriage, cheat at work by stealing money, step on others by lying to get ahead, etc.? What would be the point of living that way? Would it not be better just to live honestly and say what your plans and values are? Would this not lead to a society where we all support each other, where we all have respect for the differing lifestyles, creeds, characteristics, actions of each human around us? Do you have a loyalty to your country, the principles of personal freedom and right to pursue happiness with basic rights defined and enforced as a matter of fundamental lifestyle?
- CouProCrit:: Courts and legal process, improved and defined. There is room for nuance within the defined and interpreted court proceedings and maneuvers to ensure justice in ur society. There is not room for corruption and wastefulness within the framework of the legal system in the U.S., nor is there room for morally heavy, quantum matter affecting crimes within the framework of our beings. There is a way in which we need to commit to being, on a basic level, loyal to the ideas of freedom for beings, and, as much as possible within each individual situation, loyal to the ideas and practices of fair and just court proceedings and administrative routines for the society in which we live.
- WiCrit:: What It’s Like. Do you know, within reason, not within a black and white, strict set of standards but within nuanced guidelines what it is like? To be down and out, to need something you do not have? To be homeless or without medical care, to be in love, to be married, to have a child, to fix something, to need something fixed, to require assistance, to give assistance, to have to make a choice which is difficult and affects the rest of your life? Do you have basic empathy for those who are within the purview of your own life? The basic empathy so as not to hurt others, whether purposefully or if you find out you are? There is no set of criteria which is specific to this, it is a macro concept rather than a micro set of criteria, as are all the types of crit, really, but the macro concepts within are to be defined and nuanced through action and interaction, which is what builds, from scratch, a foundation of the fabric of existence, and then layers of dimensional morality, principles, actions which should adhere to such, love, life, fun, art, business, growth and development. This is all what leads to the matter and energy of the universe working in our favor for longevity and expansion, as humans, and as a species.
Today, I reflect on Crit. If you meet crit, excellent. If you feel you have a ways to go to meet crit, and need to know what to do better for yourself, for the Earth, for your children, or for society, there are actions which can be taken. Please reach out, and meet me online, there is much to discuss!!!!!
